The place
Cuffiano
Cuffiano is the land of the first meeting. It is the place they return to today to renew that promise and share the joy with the people they hold dear.
The name of the gin is not a marketing invention: it is an address. The address of the family olive grove.
The tree
Ever deeper roots
The olive tree stands for a love story that has crossed the seasons, putting down ever deeper roots, standing up to the wind and welcoming the sun.
It is the same tree engraved on the label of the bottle.
The oak
The memory of the land
Beside the olive trees stands a centuries-old oak that still casts its shade over the house and the grove. It holds the memory of the land and its oldest roots.
Its wood — oak — went into the distillation alongside the olive.
The hands
The harvest
Every November the nets go back under the trees. The olives come down, are gathered, and are taken to the mill.
The oil used for Cuffiano 18.262 comes from this harvest, pressed at the Frantoio Pilla in Cuffiano.
The anniversary
August 2026
In August 2026 Mimmo and Giusy celebrate fifty years of marriage. Cuffiano 18.262 was made for that day: a limited edition, numbered bottle by bottle, meant to be shared and not sold.
Each bottle comes in a pale wooden case engraved with the MG monogram, together with a parchment telling the story of the project.
A line that grows
On the bottle there is a fine line that grows with time, like a tree, crossing years in which new branches and new fruit have enriched this family's story.
